On this website, we provide you with relevant materials from the KOKON-KTO training concept. You can also find the checklist for reputable providers below under Materials.
KOKON-KTO Framwork
The aim of the KOKON-KTO framwork training is to enable oncology physicians to advise their cancer patients on complementary medicine and to make appropriate recommendations.
This training was developed and evaluated in a randomized study as part of the research project "Competence Network for Complementary Medicine in Oncology (KOKON)" which was funded by the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) and the Günter and Regine Kelm Foundation.

How to use the KOKON-KTO materials
The KOKON-KTO consultation guideline was developed for a 20-minute consultation about complementary medicine between an oncology physician and their cancer patient.
The KOKON-KTO pocket card summarizes the consultation guidelines and can be used as a checklist during a KOKON-KTO consultation.
The criteria list ist designed to guide patients in choosing suitable and reputable providers for complementary therapies based on eight defined criteria.
