Anita Thomae has been responsible for the teaching programs and outreach of the Chair since 2017. She holds a PhD in pharmacy (Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany und ETH Zurich, Switzerland) and is a trained science journalist (Freie Journalistenschule Berlin, Germany). Additionally, she completed the CAS “Digital Learning and Teaching Cultures” (Zurich University of the Arts, Zurich, Switzerland).
After working as a Study Director at Hoffmann-La Roche (Basel, Switzerland), where she gained experience in preclinical research, she specialized in preparing knowledge for digital learning formats during her years as Editor-in-Chief at pnn pharma nation network ag (Zurich, Switzerland).
At the Chair, she applies this expertise to the development of innovative teaching concepts that meaningfully combine analog and digital formats. Through the integration of digital technologies, innovative didactic approaches, and AI-supported applications, she is responsible for the continuous advancement of the quality, reach, and flexibility of the chairs’ teaching portfolio. She connects teaching and research by providing academic support and evaluation for teaching initiatives within research projects.
She is particularly committed to designing teaching programs tailored to different target groups, such as healthcare professionals, students, and patients. To ensure effective and sustainable knowledge transfer, she emphasizes the participatory involvement of various stakeholders. In addition, she is engaged in developing cross-university teaching initiatives to promote interprofessional competencies and in the development of sustainable public relations projects.
